Regional Computer Fair

On Thursday,   March 13, 2008,  twenty-three St. Ignatius students spent the day competing in the 24th Annual Southwest Regional Computer Science Fair against over 1000 students in both public and private schools from Mobile, Baldwin, Monroe, Escambia, Washington, Clarke, Wilcox and Conecuh counties. The fair was held at Faulkner State University in Bay Minette, Al. and sponsored by the Alabama Council for Technology in Education and Faulkner State.

The competition was divided into five separate

levels. St. Ignatius students competed in the first three levels. The students defended their computer projects individually or in groups to judges. They were required to describe and demonstrate intricate details about how the project was made. The students were judged on both the quality of their submitted project and how

well they could defend it. This is the thirteenth year our students competed in this annual event.    They continue to amaze all with their wonderful presence and expertise!
