Today we met with the traffic guard and her supervisor. Her morning arrival time has been changed to 7:15 a.m. In addition, the traffic flashing light is broken and the traffic department is waiting for Alabama Power to fix it. In the meantime, Mrs. Elmore’s supervisor will not allow her to stand in the road because she almost was hit one morning due to the speeding traffic. This morning there was a police cruiser with flashing lights in the turn lane under the hanging flashing light in an effort to slow traffic.

If a hurricane should come our way, families will be notified by IRIS Alert.  Information will also be transmitted  on radio and TV about possible school closings.     We will work closely with the public school systems and if they close we will.  Their spokesperson, Nancy Pierce, will call in for both Public and Catholic schools.

 

 

Athletic Field Usage 11/17/2008

Please keep students of f of the athletic field until December 8, 2008.   This includes before school, all day, after school and on the week-ends. 

 

The field was just rye seeded and fertilized today.  It needs time to take.
