My name is Jill Ackermann.  I have a B.S. from University of Montevallo in Elementary Education. While this is my first year teaching at St. Ignatius, I’ve taught 4th grade at Semmes Elementary School .  My husband and I  lived in Birmingham for about 5 years, but I am from Mobile .  I have been married to Eric Ackermann for nine years, and we are the proud parents of a daughter and a son.  Meghan is six years old while Jacob is five.  

This year is special because your child will receiving two sacraments, the sacrament of Reconciliation and the sacrament of Holy Eucharist.  I am so happy to be able to be a part in your child's religious and academic life.
