The Spanish Curriculum
The St. Ignatius Spanish program offers to all students the opportunity to learn: Greetings, the alphabet, numbers, days of a week, months of a year and the calendar.
K-2: The student will study the vocabulary of clothes, classroom objects, parts of a face, parts of a body, family, community, food and animals. We start every class with a song "Buenos dias" or "buenas tardes" and the Alphabet song.
3-4-5: The student will study Spanish vocabulary like: classroom objects, parts of a body, the time, family, community, food, Hispanic countries and songs.
6-7-8: The student will learn how to conjugate verbs. They will study Spanish grammar and create a presentation of Hispanic culture.
