Text Box: with a special reception in the gym. Just a few words regarding the Mass on Friday. Our church will get very crowded very quickly. I certainly do not want to dissuade anyone from attending the Mass, but I do want to let you know this is a special day for our students and their grandparents. We certainly want our grandparents to be comfortable and for everyone to hopefully have a place to sit. Thanks for your help and cooperation and I look forward to seeing all you dads on Thursday and grandparents on Friday. Have a great week !
Text Box: Catholic Schools Week takes place these five days here at St. Ignatius and in Catholic schools across the United States. We began the week yesterday with a beautiful living rosary in the gym. Special thanks to our second grade teachers (Mrs. Ackermann and Mrs. Bledsoe) and to Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Beattie for making this such a special event and a wonderful way to begin Catholic Schools Week. As you read this on Tuesday, students get to have a dress-down day in school colors celebrating our St. Ignatius Impala pride. On Wednesday, teachers are treated to a Text Box: special luncheon while volunteer parents man the classrooms. The archdiocese celebrates Catholic Schools week by treating all Pastors, Principals and Assistant Principal to dinner at St. Dominic’s on Wednesday evening. The celebration continues on Thursday morning at 7:15 a.m. with our annual “Donuts for Dads” breakfast. All fathers of current students are invited to participate. Friday will be a very special day. Our weekly 8 a.m. Mass will be our Grandparents Mass. All grandparents of current students are invited to attend. We will follow the Mass Text Box: From Mr. Blackburn...
Text Box: During this Catholic Schools Week, we will have a special drive for donations of toiletry items to be given to Catholic Social Services. For those of you who collect those little bottles of hand lotion, shampoo, bath soaps, etc. from hotels, here’s your chance to put it to good use. Also any other unused toiletry items will be helpful. Thanks
