Children who receive a first dose after Dec. 2 may receive their second dose at school in January as long as it has been at least 21 days since the first dose. Children in grades 4-8 will receive an H1N1 shot when the vaccine Text Box: Over fifty children in 3K through grade 3 received flu mist on December 2. Everything worked like a charm thanks to our volunteers. So what happens next? Those children who received the vaccine on December 2 will receive a second dose when we return from the Christmas holidays. Text Box: The date is not set yet. Parents will again fill out permission forms. Children with asthma or other health conditions cannot receive the flu mist without a doctor’s permission. That is why some were denied the vaccine on Dec. 2.
